If you plan on traveling through the State of New York and your GVW (Gross Vehicle Weight) or GCWR (Gross Combination Weight Rating) is over 18,000lbs. or more you will need to obtain a NY HUT WDT Permit (NY Highway Use Tax). The NY HUT WDT Permit(s) are good for 3yrs.

All companies with NY HUT WDT Permit(s) will be required to submit either a Quarterly or Annual Report to NY State Taxation separately regardless of if you have mileage during the time (Quarterly/Annual) or not.
